What is it
The Barcelona Innovation Coast diversifies the economy, promotes innovation and generates quality jobs.
The Barcelona Innovation Coast is an initiative of the Barcelona City Council that was created with the aim of creating an innovation hub of international reference, generating and attracting talent and improving knowledge transfer to the business fabric.
It is a public-private platform that brings together the main innovative agents in the city: universities and business schools, research and knowledge transfer centers, business associations, clusters, funding agents and public administrations.

What do we do?
To revitalize a space of 25,100 hectares (a quarter of the surface area of Barcelona) where research centers, prominent companies in the city, 5 universities, 28 research centers and several municipal management centers linked to innovation are concentrated.
