A previous edition of the Ameba Parkfest

Ten hours of electronic music at Montjuïc

Ameba Parkfest will bring together names such as Aines, Begun, Breixo Martínez, César de Melero and Sama Yax.

With a 100% local programme, with electronic music as the central theme, but also including gastronomy, children's workshops and various shows, Ameba Parkfest has established itself as an essential annual event among the city's festivals, and this 2023 it reaches its 8th edition. With one notable change: its location. The Castell de Montjuïc will host this event, organised by the Associació de Música Electrònica de Barcelona (AMEBA) on 7 May, which last year attracted two thousand people to the Espanya Industrial park.

AMEBA is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to create links between the community of the city's electronic music scene, and one way of doing this is to organise festivals like Parkfest. There will be five uninterrupted hours of music, from noon until 10 pm. The DJ Tamarindo, a Mallorcan resident of Barcelona who offers a sophisticated eclecticism that combines new wave, breaks, electro and early electronica in his sessions, will open the festival. There will be two stages at the venue, the castle and the fossat, and names such as Sama Yax, Cesar de Melero, Aines, BeGun, Marie and Wüten Roshi will be playing. Among the children's workshops will be one on the world of graffiti, at 12 noon and 4 pm. A day, therefore, which, beyond bringing together fans of electronic music, will also be a family event, and what's more, in a historic venue with spectacular views over the city. Admission is free.
