b'Ars, revealing the invisible

The Barcelona International Arts & VFX Fair celebrates its seventh edition in an online and free format.

The b'Ars international visual arts competition will be holding its seventh edition on 27 and 28 November. The event's slogan is "Revealing the invisible" and aims to showcase the creative talent behind visual effects and animation. This year, as a novelty, the fair will be 100% virtual and the entrance ticket will be for free. In addition, as usual, the b'Ars will feature lectures by experts from around the world, workshops and the traditional Job Fair.

During two days we will be able to enjoy conferences in which we will be able to focus on the visual effects of works such as the Netflix film Project Power, the startling animated feature film Josep about the exile of the cartoonist Josep Bartolí during the Civil War, or a presentation on the techniques and the history of the short film Godzilla vs Kong. Another of the highlights of this edition is the Women at b'Ars space, which for the second year running aims to make visible and promote the presence of women in the world of digital arts in the broadest sense.

As for the workshops, a whole world of possibilities! Different techniques will be explained and put into practice, such as 3D creation and the so-called Concept Art applied to films, video games and other productions, as well as specific tools such as the free software Blender, among others. On the other hand, the Job Fair will provide a professional space to find talent and opportunities. This is where professionals and students will be able to meet national and international companies and apply for potential job offers in the animation, visual effects, video games, virtual reality, augmented reality and 3D sectors.

Two days full of proposals where different market experts views will be put in common and that will satisfy those with a continuos learning desire. More information: b'Ars, Barcelona International Arts & VFX Fair.
