‘Elvis Unleashed’ presents unpublished images of the King of Rock and Roll

The documentary relives the classic Elvis ‘68 Comeback Special from a new perspective, with never-before-seen content.

On 3 December 1968, American television network NBC broadcast a live concert by Elvis Presley, performing for the first time after a 7-year hiatus to do films. It was the most watched show of the season and a turning point for televised music. Even today, this special is a legend among fans of the King. Now, you have the chance to relive the Elvis ‘68 Comeback Special in a new documentary, Elvis Unleashed, which features unpublished video of the programme and never-before-seen moments that relaunched a music career. Among other things, the film includes exclusive interviews by LA Times music critic Randy Lewis, speaking with actor and musician Dennis Quaid, singer and composer Jade Jackson and influential producer Steve Binder, who also directed the film. They all discuss Elvis’ influence on music today and the huge impact he had on their lives.

The film Elvis Unleashed will premiere on 17 October at various cinemas in the city, at different times depending on the venue. This is a great chance to understand the cultural phenomenon of Elvis Presley and how his legacy lives on today.
