Judit Neddermann

Judit Neddermann previews songs from new album at the Coliseum

The album will be the fifth in her career, entitled Lar, and she will be accompanied on stage in this concert by Rita Payés and Olatz Salvador.

Although the release of Judit Neddermann's new album, her fifth, entitled Lar, has been announced for 14 April, the new songs by the singer from Maresme can already be heard live a few weeks beforehand at the concert she will give on 18 March at the Teatre Coliseum, a show that forms part of Guitar Bcn and which, under the artistic direction of Maria Salarich, will bring together a good handful of musicians and some guest voices for the occasion. It will start at 9 pm.

On stage will be musicians Arnau Figueres, Isaac Coll, Kquimi Saigi, Darío Barroso, Pau Figueres, Nerea Pozo and Nacho Melús, and a choir made up of his sister Meritxell Neddermann, Gessamí Boada, Ángela Furquet, Anna Casasola, Ferran Savall and Pol Batlle. The singers Rita Payés and Olatz Salvador, and the percussionists Aleix Tobias, Aleix Tobias, Acari Bertran, Crá Rosa and Ravi Ramoneda will also take part in some of the songs. About the new album, of which some singles have already been released, the singer says that the music is dominated by Brazilian rhythms and Iberian folklore -without missing the singer-songwriter song, pop and some touches of gospel-, while the lyrics deal with everyday issues, as well as her way of understanding reality, full of expressiveness, people and characters that inspire her and make her who she is today. Neddermann is one of the most popular Catalan solo voices in recent years, and has shared the stage or recorded songs with artists such as Juan Manuel Serrat, Alejandro Sanz, Pedro Guerra, Rozalén and Miguel Poveda. She composed the music for the theatrical hit Canto jo i la muntanya balla, by La Perla 29 and based on the book by Irene Solà, a soundtrack that won her a Max Award and a Butaca Award. She has also won two Enderrock awards, a Miquel Martí i Pol award and a Descobertes award.
