Connexions 2018

The Connexions Festival reaches its seventh edition

The festival features musical dialogues between artists.

The Connexions Festival features dialogues between musical artists from different fields but a couple of common denominators: musical creativity and what emerges from the exchanges and the experiences of musical artists in the development of a "new" project.

The concerts in the festival will take place from 18 to 28 October at the Centre Artesà Tradicionàrius, Apolo [2], Taller de Músics 24 and Luz de Gas. The action will begin with a connection between Eva Fernández and the Quartet Brossa. Other highlights include the last concert of a tour by Hora de Joglar, who will share the stage with a formation becoming more and more popular every day, the Balkan Paradise Orchestra, on 20 October. The next day will see Carola Ortiz accompanied by a team of jazz and folk musicians including Charu Hariharan. At Tradicionarius we’ll find Orpheus XXI, a group made up of immigrant and refugee musicians and connections between Feliu Ventura, Xerramequ and the Aborígens, as well as the Young Effervescence Big Band. At Taller de Músics 24 we will be able to hear rap, jazz, Mediterranean music and even painting with Juan SNK, The Groove Fang, Tere Galceran, Joma, the Amaro Freitas Trio and Raynald Colom, Raquel Lúa and Amaia Miranda.

Tickets costing from €6 to €12 are available from the festival website.
