
A cycle of iconic musicals at Sala Phenomena
'Cabaret', 'West Side story' and 'Guys and Dolls' are among the films on the programme.
On 22 September, the film cycle 'Let the Show Begin' is set to begin at Phenomena Experience (C/ Sant Antoni Maria Claret 168) with the screening of That's Entertainment, directed by Jack Haley Jr., starring Fred Astaire, Liza Minnelli, Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. It will be followed the next day by Hello, Dolly!, another classic of the genre, directed by Gene Kelly and starring Barbra Streisand.
Bob Fosse's iconic Cabaret, starring Liza Minnelli is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday 26 September and the following weekend sees the screening of The King and I (Saturday 29 September) and 42nd Street (Sunday 30 September). The Sharks and the Jets will be back battling it out on the streets of New York on Thursday 4 October for the screening of West Side Story, while Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra and Vivian Blaine will be starring in Guys and Dolls on 13 October. Top Hat, starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, will be bringing the cycle to an end on Sunday 31 October.
