Still from No Place Like Home

Existential journey between Norway and Sri Lanka

No Place Like Home is the documentary of March, a film by the director Emilie Beck.

It is a story between two continents. Priyangika is a young woman adopted by a Norwegian family who has always suspected that her adoption has dark sides. To find out, to find out about her past, her origins, she sets out on a journey to Sri Lanka. She sets out on a quest to fill in the missing pieces, find her identification documents and try to meet her biological family. Norwegian director Emilie Beck has followed in the footsteps of the young woman and the result is the documentary No Place Like Home, a film of just over an hour in which the audience accompanies the existential journey of its protagonist. Beyond Priyangika's personal story, the film also aims to be an outcry against corruption and baby trafficking.

No Place Like Home is the documentary of the month of March chosen by DocsBarcelona. This means that throughout this month you will have different opportunities to go and see it.
