If you love documentaries, you're in luck! On June 2nd, the Canódromo will be holding the Hedy Lamarr 2022 Documentary Series 2022, which aims to make visible and publicize the history of some of the women who are great figures in the history of science and technology.

What's more, the choice of the people to be represented is not random. Did you know that 14 women give their names to the spaces of the Canódromo? This documentary series is a tribute to the people behind the names, a way of vindicating the contributions of great figures in thought, science fiction literature, technology and science, such as Hedy Lamarr, Ursula K. Le Guin, Top Secret Rosies, bell hooks, Hypatia of Alexandria, Angela Ruiz Robles, Margarita Salas, Kamal Ramadive, Wangari Muta Maathai, Idelisa Bonnelly, Haraway Woman, María Teresa Ruiz, Ada Lovelace and Malala Yousafi.

The series is composed of three screenings that will review some of the best documentaries ever made about these leading figures in the history of science and technology, and will take place from 21:30 to 23:30.

A great opportunity to enjoy a night of open-air cinema and learn more about the names behind Hedy Lamarr, actress, producer and forerunner of wifi, and Ursula K. Le Guin, the renowned author of speculative fiction.
