'Namrud': the Docs Barcelona Documentary of the Month

The film tells the story of Jowan Safad, a controversial Palestinian-Israeli musician.

Every month, the people in charge of Docs Barcelona choose a documentary that is screened over the course of a month at different cinemas and other venues around the country. This month’s documentary is ‘Namrud’, a film that tells the story of Jowan Safad, a controversial and outspoken Palestinian-Israeli musician who has is being investigated for incitement to terrorism and has been arrested on several occasions. Sevillian director Fernando Romero Forsthuber is in charge of this story of defiance and struggle.

The documentary can be seen on a number of days at different locations: on 4/04 at Cinemes Girona, on 11/04 at the Auditorium of Sant Martí, on 4/4 at Casa Elizalde, on 4/7 at the Esquerra de l'Eixample library, on 28/4 and 30/4 at the Teatre de Sarrià and on 2/5 at the Fort Pienc civic centre.
