Explore artificial intelligence

Proposals to discover the techniques that allow machines to make decisions and imitate human behaviour.

Since the beginning of this century, artificial intelligence has progressed as rapidly as digital technologies. The irruption of the Internet into our lives and the quick advances in computing have favoured equipping many of the devices we use every day with qualities that facilitates their use. Likewise, machines are getting better at anticipating our decision-making process, and they’re successfully learning to display a human-like behaviour, something to be attributed to artificial intelligence. If you’re interested in learning more about this fascinating discipline, the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA) has shared a series of informative videos and other interesting proposals on different topics related to artificial intelligence such as the world of algorithms, neural networks or machine learning that will allow you to get a deeper insight into this subject.

Artificial intelligence plays an important part in our lives. It shapes our experience on the Internet and mobile apps by creating consumer patterns, making easier some operations such as banking transactions. Besides, it is also useful to improve medical procedures that can be considerably simplified thanks to artificial intelligence. It is, therefore, a world with an enormous range of possibilities that is important to know as users.

The resources shared by the IIIA are aimed at people of different ages: adults, teenagers and children under 10. Several videos show different aspects of artificial intelligence and, in addition, the IIIA has shared a form through which you can anonymously ask questions about the videos to the scientists of the institute. The answers will be shared in the center’s website. If you are between 8 and 14 years old and you want to take advantage of your imagination and creativity, you can participate in the contest of innovative ideas The AI from home. Who knows, maybe you have a vocation for artificial intelligence and you don't know it yet.
