Fabra i Coats is looking for a curator

The Barcelona Contemporary Arts Centre and Art Factory, Fabra i Coats, has opened the period for inscription for the position of curator for the 2014-2015 period. The position is open to both individuals and collectives and proposals should contain a minimum of three prospective exhibitions, an activities plan, a publications plan and an educational project.

Evaluation criteria for the proposals will include their suitability for exhibition in the centre, the possibilities for collaboration with other centres, the quality of the exhibitions programme, equality in the balance between local and international artists and the financial viability of the project, among other factors.

Aspirants should present a dossier that includes personal details, a detailed CV, a summary of the conceptual framework for the proposed projects, a project outline (including a list of exhibitions, artists, a publications plan, etc.) and a detailed budget. The dossier should also include a project implementation schedule and any other relevant information. Proposals may be presented up until the 22nd of May.

The post corresponds with the objectives of the Contemporary Arts Centre, to wit, to promote and disseminate projects by contemporary local and international artists and to convert the centre into a space for dialog between established and upcoming artists.
