Visit the Casa Museo Amatller with Singular Houses

Modernism in the Eixample of Barcelona

Get to know the Casa Museu Amatller thanks to the guided tours of Cases Singulars.

The Casa Museu Amatller is one of the benchmarks of modernism in Barcelona. It is located in the heart of the Eixample and is an example of the transformation of the traditional society of the old regime into a new society with an open and more dynamic mind. Antoni Amatller, the promoter of the house, was the third generation of the family dedicated to the chocolate industry and acquired the building where the museum is now located in 1898 to turn it into his home. The architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch was in charge of carrying out the renovation.

You can discover all this and much more in the guided tours for small groups organised by the Singular Houses project at the Casa Museu Amatller. Visits take place from Thursday to Sunday at different times, depending on the language of the visit, and are priced at 15 euros per person during Autumn. In addition, you will get a gift at the end of the route, or a cup of hot chocolate or a box of Chocolates Amatller. You can make your reservation here.

Alternatively, you can book a group visit for at least ten people on your own by sending an email to casessingulars@casessingulars.com. These are priced between 15 and 18 euros depending on the gift you want.

You can find more information about visiting times here.
