jazZTà

JazZTà is hitting the stage again after four years

They’ll be bringing their funk and acid jazz to Nota79.

The group jazZTà came about in the summer of 1994 out of the nexus between different previous groups. The different musical influences that they came from made something very special come out of them coming together. The band describes their style as funk and acid jazz, which just goes to show how eclectic it is: funk baselines combined with Latin rhythms, pop-rock lines and any other melody that goes with it, but always with one part in common, that they harmonise with jazz. In their concerts they give off an aura of elegance and energy, which they get across to their audience. Their repertoire includes classics from African-American music. Although they’ve been on hiatus from 2014 to 2018, they’ve decided to hit the studio again and keep the project we know and love alive. Even though they unfortunately lost their drummer, Jordi Ortiz, they now have Aïda Casanovas on this instrument.

The jazZTà concert will be on 14 April at 7:30 pm. It will be in Nota79, near Lesseps, a space that puts on concerts for all kinds of audiences, where you can hear swing, jazz, blues, soul, manouche, pop, rock and even classical music, and much, much more.

Tickets cost €7 in advance and €10 on the door. You can get yours on the link below.
