"The Little Prince" Brings Back the Magic

Paral·lel 62 hosts the musical show that celebrates its tenth edition this year, with performances scheduled until January 28.

Dreaming, getting excited, feeling emotions... Are you ready to relive the magic of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's universal classic? The musical "The Little Prince" invites you on a fascinating journey to various places, from the Sahara Desert, through asteroid B612, to the planet of the king or the world of the geographer, among others. And, you will even discover what baobabs are.

Presented by Àngel Llàcer, Manu Guix, and La Perla 29, the production of "The Little Prince" returns to Barcelona for its tenth season, after 550 performances and more than 400,000 spectators. The performances will take place from December 5 to January 28. Will you miss it?

You will delve into the story of a boy who wants to know what lies within him, leading him to travel to various planets until he reaches Earth. The rose, the fox, the lamplighter, the king, the geographer, and the aviator are some of the characters you will meet throughout the show, helping him discover the value of love and friendship. And, above all, remember: "What is essential is invisible to the eye."

The show combines music of various styles and scenography with projections, mapping, and animations, creating an atmosphere that will captivate you with songs like "The Rose," "I Learned," "Draw Me a Sheep," "We Will Be Little Princes," and many others. All thanks to the performances (in the photograph by David Ruano) of Mariona Escoda, Iñaki Mur, Miguel Ángel Sánchez, Carme Milán, Enric Cambray, Manu Guix, and Àngel Llàcer (these last three will alternate in the role of the aviator). The work is under the musical direction of Àngel Llàcer; direction and musical composition by Manu Guix; adaptation and dramaturgy also by Llàcer and Marc Artigau; and scenography by Desilence and Jordi Queralt.

From the little ones to the grown-ups, you are invited to approach the mythical tale of Saint-Exupéry, whether you know it or have never heard of it. But above all, the musical "The Little Prince" is conceived to offer you a unique experience, for you to enjoy and be surprised. The shows will take place from December 5 to January 28; it is advisable to check the dates, as well as the schedule of the sessions. In addition, on Saturday, January 20, at 4 pm, there will be a performance accessible to people with sensory disabilities. The price of the general admission is €32, and if you want to buy it, you can do so on the Paral·lel 62 website.
