The company Barcelona Flamenco Ballet premieres the show 'LUXURÎA' at Sala BARTS.
On Saturday, 17 July, the Sala BARTS will dress up to welcome the international company Barcelona Flamenco Ballet, which will be premiering, LUXURÎA, its latest show. Directed by David Gutiérrez, LUXURÎA tells the story of a highly successful artist who falls in love at first sight with someone he meets at a glamourous and luxurious gala. Unfortunately, lust will turn against him, taking him away from the person he loves and his destiny, only to be dragged into a dark world of madness, ambition, and loneliness. LUXURÎA is a ground-breaking and versatile show that aims to vindicate both traditional and innovative flamenco by the hand of some of the most renowned artists in Spain.
Barcelona Flamenco Ballet, as one of the world's leading dance companies, spreads flamenco culture all over the globe. In these past years, its tours have taken the flamenco artists across theatres in Spain, China, Latvia, the United States, Lebanon, and beyond. LUXURÎA is the third proposal created by the company, filled with its characteristic avant-gardism. It blends contemporary, modern, Spanish and flamenco dance with classical and jazz music, creating a pioneering stage.
