Museu Picasso joins #QuedatACasa and proposes online activities

Museu Picasso’s virtual initiative

The museum’s social networks are simmering every day with new proposals and information.

Museum activity hasn’t entirely disappeared, as everyone is looking for new ways to entertain themselves at home. Museu Picasso joins the confinement and offers you daily online content and knowledge to prove that art doesn’t only exist inside museums. For this reason, we recommend following its activity on social media – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – so you can keep up to date with its proposals. The initiative has been launched with the hashtag #MuseuPicassoVirtual to make it easier to find.

The activity started on Thursday 19 March by recovering the content of the ‘Picasso and Identity’ congress, which took place in 2017 with an online seminar on Twitter that you can revisit. Some of the subjects of the congress were reviewed with videos and you can see the recorded conversations. To continue sharing knowledge, you can visit the museum’s blog, where some very interesting comments will be posted about the work and its conservation. The last post discusses the new protection given to the painting ‘Science and Charity’ (1897), which has just been restored and needs to be conserved in the best way possible.

And don’t forget that Museu Picasso is still sharing the works of the collection on social networks, where you will be able to admire them from an even closer range. And, if not, you can continue to discover them on your own by browsing on the website.
