Radical May, a festival to change the world

The 'online' event is promoted by the Fira Literal Barcelona and various publishers.

Talks, round tables and debates are part of Radical May, an international and online festival that takes place for the first time this May and is organized by the Fira Literal Barcelona and thirty critical thinking publishers. The goals of the event are ambitious: nothing more and nothing less than changing the world. And it is that, in the words of the promoters, "in these moments of uncertainty it is more necessary than ever to start thinking and discussing the ideas that will lead to the profound transformation that our societies need." Noam Chomsky, Erik Loomis, Susan Ferguson, Tithi Bhattacharya, Mark Bray, Wu Ming, Sarah Jaffe or Costas Lapavitsas are some of the internationally renowned authors. If at the time of reading these lines any of the events you were interested in have already taken place, don't worry, because there is a repository on the same website where you can retrieve all the contents.

The festival has released a manifesto in which it recalls that "the world of books and especially critical thinking publishers are experiencing a very hard time internationally due to the closure of bookstores," and calls on "people , movements, organizations and especially publishers, magazines, radical publications in the world to join the #RadicalMay initiative to transform reality and get out of confinement better prepared, better organized and with more ideas and more radical. "

This international will of Radical May, and the fact that it is carried out completely on the Internet, means that in the program we find events in different languages and time uses. Find out all the details at this link.
