‘SAMPLER #4. Things That Happen’ at MACBA

Things that happen

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the MACBA opens the exhibition ‘SAMPLER #4’ on April 22.

During its 25 years of existence, the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) has been dedicated to conserving, cataloguing and disseminating all the documentation generated by the activities that take place in the museum, documents that are stored in the MACBA historical archive. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Enric Farrés Duran presents a project together with the archive where the artist has been carried away by all this material. Based on his research, Farrés has found his limits and wants to show his entrails. The project is called ‘SAMPLER #4. Things That Happen’ and you can see it from April 22 to October 8.

This project is accompanied by a series of activities, in addition to the exhibition in question. First of all, on the 22nd of April you can take a guided tour by Enric Farrés and the artist himself will take part in the session of the debate series Lo que puede un libro #13. For the summer, the workshop ‘Metanoise party (la cocina del archivo)’ will take place, where Elisabet Rodríguez and Paloma Gueilburt will also participate, and on October 8 there will be a visit ‘La sesión de la cesión: la ficción documental en el archivo histórico’.

Admission to the exhibition is free, as are the other activities, for which you will need to register in advance. You can do this through the link to each activity. For more information, visit the MACBA website.
