Gamelab Live 2020
The digital congress of the video game and interactive leisure returns this year livestreamed.
Gamelab Bcn is here once again for all those who love video games and interactive leisure. From 23 to 25 June, the most influential leaders in the global industry of this sector such as Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine, and American Mcgee, creator of American McGee's Alice, will participate in this major global forum. This year, the novelty has been its adaptation to an online format, the Gamelab Live, in order to respect the current health measures due to covid-19.
The program includes, as usual, live talks, seminars and networking sessions for professionals, as well as inspiring panel discussions where experts from different fields will explore the value and potential of gaming in the future of our society, culture and economy. A total of 52 speakers will fill the three days that last the forum with virtual workshops on various topics such as blockchain technology and the opportunities it presents for video games, cloud gaming and the path to success that the Crossfire game has taken, among others.
In addition, the Gamelab Live 2020 Awards gala will also be held, where the popular Puces (fleas), as these awards are colloquially known, will be presented. These awards are aimed at excellence in categories such as art, game design, audio, artistic direction or narrative, as well as the best productions for each platform: console, PC and mobile. The awards also include two special categories to promote the work of the youngest projects: the best new game and the best student project.
