‘We Women’, the collaborative project by Sol Picó

The dance show, which premiered in July 2015, can now be viewed on the company's YouTube channel.

The show We Women by the dance company Sol Picó is a collaborative project about contemporary women. Different artists and choreographers, with different perspectives given by their cultural diversity, want to create a dialogue around the role of women in today’s society and reflect on issues such as the lack of legacy and the historical neglect of women's contribution to the artistic world. The diversity of the show is not only reflected in the message, but also in the mixed set of dance techniques that are used and the group of women who have broken with the patterns of their cultures and societies and who have a lot to say about their role in the world.

The dance company Sol Picó was created in 1994. Its main feature is the blend of genres it works with and its technique can be described as strong, precise and dynamic. The company premiered ‘We Women’ at the Festival Grec de Barcelona in 2015, at the Mercat de les Flors, under the direction of Sol Picó and the dramaturgy by Roberto Fratini.

The ‘We Women’ show is 60 minutes long and can now be enjoyed online on the company’s YouTube channel.
