Elia Barceló

(Elda, 1957) is one of the greatest fantasy and sci-fi authors writing in Spanish, although she also tackles other genres ranging from YA to crime fiction. She has a PhD in Hispanic literature, lectured at the University of Innsbruck for many years  and has been writing full-time since 2017. In 2020 she won the National Literature Prize in the Children's and YA Literature category with her work L'efecte Frankenstein. This year she has published the mystery novel Muerte en Santa Rita, and she has brought back into print the story of diabolical possession and unconditional love Uke. El contrincante.
