Italo Calvino. El escritor que quiso ser invisible

Planeta - Fundación José Manuel Lara (2020)

Despite Italo Calvino (1923-1985) himself considering the biographies of writers to be an anecdotal circumstance that was void of all importance when compared to the works they produced, his very existence was undeniably linked to literary production. Hence the interest in a biography that recalls Calvino commitment to the Italian Communist Party, the fantastical Calvino who regarded the world as a mesh of symbols and that, coinciding with his time in the USA and Paris in the 1960s and 1970s, experienced a political and artistic evolution, coming into contact with the literary experimentation group, Oulipo, and discovering countless ways of combining and playing with language.
