Care Santos
Care Santos, born in Mataró in 1970, is a prolific author whose works include several fantasy novels such as La muerte de Venus [The Death of Venus] (shortlisted for the Primavera Prize 2007), Hacia la luz [Towards the Light], Los que rugen [The Roaring Ones], El baile de los muertos [The Dance of the Dead], the Eblus trilogy and Cuando se apagan las luces [When the Lights Go Out]. Her work has been translated into 24 languages. She has received numerous awards, including the Nadal Prize (2017), the Ramon Llull Prize (2014) and the Cervantes Chico Award for her career (2020).
