David Lozano

David Lozano, born in Zaragoza in 1974, holds a degree in law from the University of Zaragoza, a master’s degree in communication and additional studies in Hispanic languages and literatures. Alongside his work in law and teaching, he has pursued a career in cultural programming and currently combines writing with directing the Aragón Film Commission. He is the author of several bestselling novels, including Donde surgen las sombras [Where the Shadows Rise] and Intruso [Intruder] (both winners of the Gran Angular Prize), Herejía (finalist for the Hache Prize) and the Gothic fantasy trilogy La puerta oscura [The Dark Door].  His El ladrón de minutos [The Thief of Minutes] was shortlisted for the Edebé Children’s Literature Award, and he won the Edebé Young Adult Award for Desconocidos [Strangers] in 2018 and again in 2025 for La cacería [The Hunt].
