Emma Ríos, born in Vilagarcía de Arousa in 1976, is a comic book creator with a background in both architecture and self-publishing. After working with American publishers such as Marvel and DC Comics, she began focusing on independent projects from 2013 onwards. She has published solo works such as I.D. and the recent Anzuelo [Hook], and a collaboration with Hwei Lim: Mirror. She is currently working on the fourth volume of Pretty Deadly with Kelly Sue DeConnick, a series which has earned her multiple Eisner nominations and Best Cover Artist in 2020.
