Juan Mattio
Juan Mattio, born in Argentina in 1983, is an editor and writer. He has worked as an editor for the cultural magazines Juguetes Rabiosos, La Granada and Sonámbula, and was a member of the science fiction, technology and futures observatory Synco. His novel Tres veces luz [Three Times Light] received an honourable mention in the Casa de las Américas Prizes, and Materiales para una pesadilla [Materials for a Nightmare], recently reprinted, won the Filba–Medifé Prize for Best Novel Published in Argentina in 2021. Mattio is also the author of the essay La sombra de un jinete desesperado [The Shadow of a Desperate Rider], leads writing and reading workshops and is a member of the Fantasmas del Futuro collective.
