Laia Baldevey, born in Sant Vicenç de Montalt in 1991, is an illustrator and the curator of the Catalan mythology exhibition at the 42 Festival. After earning a degree in fine arts, she started her professional career in the animation industry. Over time, she has developed a distinctive and detailed style that blends her background in traditional techniques with a fluency in modern digital media. She is best known for illustrating the mythical creatures, folktales and legends of Catalonia in Mitologia dels Països Catalans [Mythology of the Catalan Countries], though she has also worked in other genres for publishers, music groups and other media.
