Replicants video podcast: Visions of a present future
It’s now been 75 years since the publication of I, Robot and The Martian Chronicles — cornerstone works of modern science fiction that, like so many others, still resonate today. From the Replicants video podcast by 3Cat, hosted by Mariona Borrull, we want to explore how those classic science fiction authors connect with our own time and what influence they have had in shaping the present/future we are living in. Were they visionaries, or did their scientific backgrounds lead them to foresee what would come in areas such as technology, medicine, or social control? Or perhaps those shaping our present/future today have been influenced by their stories? And here at home, who are our own Catalan visionaries?
