Xavier Moret (Barcelona, 1952) is the author of novels such as Dr. Pearson, Qui paga, mana [Who Pays, Rules], Formentera Blues and Misteri a Deià [Mystery in Deià].  He contributes to Ara newspaper and various travel magazines, where he publishes pieces from all the world’s continents. His travel book Islàndia, l’illa secreta [Iceland: The Secret Island] won the Grandes Viajeros Prize in 2002. He also received the Sent Soví Prize for Food Literature for El Bulli des de dins.
