Housing will be one of the principal themes at the Family Financial Education and Energy Poverty Symposium, the sixth edition of which will be held from July 20th to 22nd. The meeting, organised by the Isadora Duncan Foundation, will be in virtual format and will include various presentations and a debate. On the 22nd, Vanesa Valiño, the head of cabinet of the Barcelona City Council’s Housing Department, will lead the debate on access to housing and rental. She will be accompanied by the representative of the Union of Tenants of Madrid, Javier Gil, and by Débora Serrano, in representation of WIRES, an association of female consultants and executives of the real estate world.

The symposium will also include four addresses: on the first day there will be a reflection on territory and taxation, with ‘The Spain of Swimming Pools’, with the journalist Jorge Dioni López, and ‘Right to Housing and Tax Policies’, with the professor of the University of Girona Maria Lluïsa Esteve de Pardo.

On the second day the sessions will focus on the housing stock, with the addresses ‘Rehabilitation of Housing and EU NextGeneration Funds, by the architect Ana Sanz and the Doctor in Architecture Carme Sánchez-Guevara, and ‘Solidarity Rehabilitation Funds’, with Ester Sevilla, the representative of the Naturgy Foundation.

All the sessions of the Family Financial Education and Energy Poverty Symposium can be followed online via Zoom. Registration is free of charge and can be made at this link.
