The recreational green area of over 20,000 square metres unites the university space, the Port Fòrum and the beach with the neighbourhoods around the Besòs in Sant Martí and Sant Adrià.

The area also includes a children’s play area and sports courts for local people and students to play football and basketball.

More research and investigation on the campus

The new building for SMEs, start-ups and co-working has more than 7,000 square metres of space and will welcome self-employed people and entrepreneurs working in research and investigation on the campus.

Work begins in March and will be completed in 2023.

The Campus Diagonal-Besòs of the future

The expansion of the Campus Diagonal-Besòs also includes a new building for research groups and centres, as well as a new space for companies in the sustainability sector which will be the headquarters of Barcelona Energia and circular economy initiatives by Barcelona Activa.

This university campus, inaugurated in 2016 with teaching activity and research, plays a part in driving the transformation of this areas between Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs.
