Under the slogan “Reinventing higher education for a sustainable future”, the third UNESCO World Higher Education Conference aims to break down the traditional models of higher education and open up the door to innovative, creative and visionary concepts which are inclusive for the entire student community throughout their lives.

The main topics for the conference are the impact of Covid-19 on higher education, the sustainable development goals, inclusion, the quality and relevance of programmes, academic mobility, governance, funding, the production of data and knowledge, international cooperation and the future of this realm of teaching.

The conference will give a voice to all profiles from academic life, such as teaching staff, the research community, administration, business, youth, political representation and social organisations. The conference also includes parallel events, informal meetings and displays on technology, innovation, good practice, art, science and culture, broadening opportunities for learning and exchange between all participants.
