Senior Researcher and Director of the Global Cities Programme at the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB). 

He holds a Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He also holds an Executive Master in Public Administration from ESADE and pursued part of his studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. He has worked in local government, in the private sector and as an expert on urban issues for various agencies of the United Nations, the European Commission, the OECD and a number of national and local governments around the world.
