Doctorate in Innovation Economy
Francesca Bria has a Doctorate in Innovation Economy from the Imperial College Business School in London and a Degree in Social and Economic Sciences from the Sapienza University of Rome. She is an advisor to the European Commission on internet policies and intelligent cities.
She is a member of the group of experts of the EC on Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group (OISPG) and the European Research Cluster on the Internet of Things. In 2016 she was appointed commissioner of Technology and Digital Innovation for Barcelona City Council, to lead the public project for the city’s digital transformation.
