Anthropologist, social educator and technical agricultural engineer

Professor-collaborator of the UNESCO Chair in Environmental Education and Sustainable Development (UNED, the National Distance Education University of Spain) and founding member of the Garua cooperative. 

She was the confederal coordinator of Ecologistas en Acción from 2005 to 2014. Herrero is the co-author of more than twenty books related to social ecology and numerous articles, and is a member of the editorial board of Hegoa, the Institute for International Cooperation and Development Studies.
