Barcelona Llibres is the Barcelona City Council publishing house. Under this name, we can find books about the city and its people, edited and co-edited by the City Council, which are put into commercial circulation, as well as digital publications that can be downloaded for free.

Through its Editorial Services Department and Barcelona Llibres, the City Council publishes around 50 books each year on a wide variety of topics linked to our city.

Barcelona Llibres has a catalogue of municipal publications to disseminate all its titles, the first of which date back to the 1980s, when Maria Aurèlia Capmany was the City Councillor for Culture and Publications.
