    The Joan Miró Foundation, designed by the architect Josep Lluís Sert, is located on the mountain of Montjuïc. Its main purpose is to permanently exhibit the works of Joan Miró, as well as to hold temporary exhibitions for other 20th- and 21st-century artists. It also hosts a public programme of events for a wide range of audiences, and has a library, auditorium, bookshop, gift shop and restaurant.
