Round Table
"Future Heritages" is a round table that invites reflection on the role of heritage in shaping a shared future. In the context of European cities—where architectural layers from different eras coexist in common urban spaces—the event addresses key questions: which aspects of the past do we choose to preserve and highlight? Which are sidelined or seen as controversial? And how do current values and lifestyles influence these decisions?
The event is part of the annual theme Future Heritage by Open House Europe, a collaborative project that brings together over 15 European cities to explore architecture as a space for dialogue between the past, present, and future. Through thought-provoking questions and concrete examples, the round table seeks to inspire new ways of valuing and transforming heritage, promoting sustainable, inclusive, and resilient practices that may become the legacy for future generations.
Round table moderated by architect and heritage specialist Marc Aureli Santos.
