Dance takes over Sagrada Família
Shows, documentaries, lectures and family activities fill a cycle that aims to bring this art to everyone.
"Apropa't a la dansa" kicks off on 8 May with the screening of the documentary Bailar la locura, directed by Marta Espar and Maiol Virgili. This is the first of the many activities that the Sagrada Família Civic Centre will be organising over the course of a month to invite everyone to get closer to dance, as the name of the cycle makes explicit. The film follows three dancers who want to create a choreography on the borderline between normality and madness, and invite three women diagnosed with mental disorders to share in the creative process. The screening will start at 7.30 pm at the Civic Centre.
Three days later, on 11 May at 8 pm, the dancer Àngel Duran will present his show The Beauty of It, a montage on the internal struggle between the human conscious and the human unconscious. There will be a post-show colloquium with the artist. The cycle also includes activities for the youngest members of the family; on Friday 12 May, the artistic and pedagogical collective CreaMoviment proposes an experience aimed at children between 6 months and 3 years old, based on the show Paisatges. Estudi #1. Families are invited to explore and investigate the world of dance with the body and through play. Registration is required to take part in this activity.
Another proposal of "Apropa't a la dansa" will be the workshop by Andi DomDom and Celeste Ayús entitled Dansar sobre el paper. It will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 18 May, and the activity combines contemporary dance and painting. Registration is requiered. Espai Impro, an improvisation show and subsequent talk with the students of the dance and music baccalaureate of the IEA Oriol Martorell, will close the cycle on 10 June.
