Josep Maria Flotats puts a smile to the Jewish question

The talks of two neighbors on the stairs can go a long way when they are taken to the theater with the management and interpretation of Josep Maria Flotats.

Almost 40 years later, the  Catalan actor and director returns to Lliure to stage a work of one of his favorite theater authors, the French writer and set designer Jean-Claude Grumberg, which holds more than 30 works in his career, in addition to 5 Molière Awards and 1 César Award.

Ser-ho o no (Per acabar amb la qüestió jueva) has Flotats and Arnau Puig interpretations, and relates the encounters of two neighbors, one agnostic and the other Jewish, that fire their differences through acute dialectical confrontations in the staircase.

Double meanings, the issue of collective and individual identity, historical memory and tolerance are the keys to this work of political theater where the tone of comedy gives us air to reflect with more tenderness than acrimony, to the point that at times we ask ourselves why are we laughing about what appears on the scene.
