A baritone singing at one of the opera evenings

Opera every Thursday between the Baroque walls of Palau Dalmases

Petita Companyia Lírica de Barcelona is the star of these evenings.

Palau or Casa Dalmases is a building that dates back to the 14th century, although its current appearance is marked by the renovations done in the 17th century. Located at Carrer de Montcada 20, in the La Ribera neighbourhood, every Thursday at 11 pm you can hear well-known opera melodies live. The entertainment will be offered by Petita Companyia Lírica de Barcelona, which features around ten baritones, sopranos, mezzo-sopranos and tenors, accompanied by Elke Sanjosé on the piano.

The evenings are an excellent way to remember well-known pieces by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi and Puccini in a unique, historical space. Plus, before the performance the singers explain the background of the opera and the backdrop, often coming off stage into the audience and singing among the tables and chairs set up at Palau Dalmases.

Right now, the opera recitals by Petita Companyia Lírica de Barcelona are scheduled for Thursdays through 31 October. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to this website.
