Pantalla Barcelona 2020

New edition of the Pantalla Barcelona

The 5th edition of the cycle begins on October 2nd, presenting a new section with titles from the city's festivals.

With the aim of stimulating the diffusion of Barcelona's cinema, the Institute of Culture of Barcelona, through the Barcelona Film Commission, presents on October 2nd the new edition of the Pantalla Barcelona, which also renews its collaboration with the Acadèmia de Cinema with the Gaudí Cycle. It will take place until the 18th of December on the screens of the Can Basté, Pati Llimona, Can Clariana Cultural, Casa Groga, Ateneu Fort Pienc, Zona Nord, Vil·la Florida, Josep Maria Trias i Peitx and Auditori Sant Martí civic centres.

This year, in addition to the programme of films shot or produced in Barcelona, the cycle is extending the offer with a selection of very varied films of international origin, programming the city's festival proposals. This is thanks to the collaboration of Catalunya Film Festivals, with the participation of the Americana Film Fest, the Asian Film Festival Barcelona, the Inclús International Film and Disability Festival of Barcelona and the Wallay! African Film Festival of Barcelona, amongst others.

All the selected screenings, between long and short films, will be distributed in more than forty sessions. Some of the highlights are 7 razones para huir by Gerard Quinto, Esteve Soler and David Torras and El viaje de Marta by Neus Ballús or the short films Madrid 2120 by José Luis Quirós and Paco Sáez and Qué pasará cuando me haga mayor by Josep Maria Soro.

Tickets are free of charge and it is essential that you book them through the website of each of the venues, to guarantee safe seating and the validity of the health protocols. Here  you can see all the schedule.
