Primavera, beyond Forum
The concerts that form part of the Primavera a la Ciutat cycle fill the Sala Apolo and La (2), Razzmatazz, Paral-lel 62, La Nau and Laut with live music.
Six of the city's venues have joined forces to take Primavera Sound out of the Forum Park, where it will be held from 29th May to 2nd June, and fill the city's venues with live music. All of them host Primavera a la Ciutat concerts, an extra programme that brings a great festival to Barcelona's stages.
To enjoy the Primavera a la Ciutat concerts, you must first have a weekend ticket for Primavera Sound 2024. Once you have it, you can make your reservation through the AccessTicket application. Remember that, in order to confirm your booking, you have to make a deposit of €10 which, once you've entered the venue (if you don't go there and don't tell them, you'll lose them), is transformed into credits that you can use at the bar.
Everything will start on 27th May at La [2] in Sala Apolo, where on that day you can enjoy performances by Abstract Concrete, Tiemei, Maustetytöt and some other musical proposals in addition to those you'll find at La Nau (Rozi Plain and JJUUJJJUU, among others), at Paral-lel 62 (pay attention, at 10 p.m. the Argentine indie-rock band Él Mató a Un Policía Motorizado! ) and at the Sala Apolo, where Cranes, The Chameleons and the American Johnny Jewel (pictured), who turns the Twin Peaks universe into music, among others, will be playing that night.
From this point onwards, there will be a plethora of proposals distributed among the aforementioned venues, ranging from the romantic rock of the North Americans The National (29th May at Razzmatazz), Yo La Tengo reinventing versions of classic songs (28th May, Sala Apolo) and the emo and math rock of the Americans American Football (2nd June, Paral-lel 62).
Don't miss the trap and reggaeton of the Argentinian Lara19k (2 June, Sala Laut), whose songs are now extremely popular. Among the new talents on the Catalan scene, a young Ariox (27th of May, at the Sala Apolo), who will be performing her bedroom pop.
Don't forget that, in addition to these, there are up to forty other proposals, all equally interesting, scattered around Barcelona's stages. And it's all a complement to this year's Primavera Sound, a spectacular festival that in this year's edition (in Forum Park) features great artists such as Pulp, Lana del Rey and PJ Harvey, to name but a few.
