You can see this play by Nick Payne about communication issues until February 2nd.

In 2009 he received the George Devine Award for the most promising playwright for this play, which 3 years later comes translated into Catalan by Violeta Roca and directed by Marilia Samper. We are talking about Nick Payne, young author who in “Si existeix, encara no ho he trobat” reflects on Earth’s illness, with the global warming as the main symptom of this, but also about the human need for slow down the pace of life in order to save both the planet and relationship with people around us.

This is what Payne tells through the story of a teenager (Patrícia Garcia) with overweight issues who also has problems to be accepted by her peers, a situation aggravated because of the fact that her mother (Montse Germán), a professor, has moved her into the school where she teaches.

The father (Carles Gilabert) is an academician obsessed with saving the planet, up to the point that he neglects his family and fails to notice his daughter’s problems, but also the loneliness and frustration of his wife. With his brother’s (Pau Roca) coming all of this will come to light, because the problems of this family, actually, are a small-scale metaphor of what is happening to Earth.
