Jazz is playing in Can Deu

The concerts will be accompanied by conversations to put them in context, and the programme also includes three musical dialogues.

Sergi Sirvent Trio, David Giorcelli Trio and Big Dani Pérez & Alberto Bello Quartet are just some of the names that will be playing at the Can Deu Civic Centre this autumn as part of the Dijous Jazz cycle. In total, the programme consists of seven concerts, all of them with complementary conversations to put the recitals into context. There are also three musical dialogues.

The cycle began on 29 September with a performance by the experienced August Tharrats Trio and will continue on 20 October with the Sergi Sirvent Trio. Sirvent is a prolific pianist and composer who moves in the most diverse and heterogeneous of projects. In this case, he will feature his jazziest version accompanied by Horacio Fumero on double bass and David Xirgu on drums. A week later, David Giorcelli, one of Spain's leading exponents of blues piano and boogie-woogie, will perform as a trio, with Little Jordi on double bass and Albert Escudero on drums. In November, Marian Barahona Trio (on the 10th) and Edu Introcaso & The Truetones (on the 14th) will take the stage. In the last month of the year, Big Dani Pérez & Albert Bello Quartet (on the 1st) and Marc Ferrer Trio (on the 15th) will be showcasing their jazz projects.

As for the musical dialogues, after the one already offered by August Tharrats on 27 September, on 8 November, it will be the turn of Marian Barahona, and on 29 November, of Albert Bello. These dialogues can be followed online on the Can Deu Civic Centre's social networks.
