Become a volunteer
This year, the Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race is embarking on an ambitious project with a more central route, with two different start and finish lines so the public can see and cheer on the runners throughout the race.
We aim to bring the race closer to the people and involve them in this race, which we celebrate as part of the Barcelona’s yearly festival. That is why we are offering the chance for people to volunteer and help ensure that the thousands of participating runners are well informed and prepared to run.
Volunteers have a range of different tasks, but they all contribute to the smooth operation of the race, putting extra emphasis on all of the runners, both amateur and elite.
Volunteer tasks include:
• Distributing bibs, t-shirts, runner's bags and chips at the Athlete Service Fair.
• Serving refreshments at km 5 (Passeig de Picasso)
• Serving refreshments at the finish line at Plaça Catalunya
• Working the bag check, location to be confirmed
• Assisting with the race start, waves and finish at Carrer Aragó
