Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race

The first edition of the Cursa Mercè Jove Bimbo Global Race will soon be under way. The organisers are hoping this new category will reach out to more youngsters in Barcelona, promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event is specifically designed for children born between 2007 and 2001, offering two distances based on participants’ ages: 0.8 and 1.6 kilometres.

This youth version is being held in parallel to the Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race 2023 on 17 September. The run starts in Av. Reina Maria Cristina, once the 10 km and inclusive 2 km runs have finished. The start times for the Cursa Mercè Jove will be from 11.30 am, beginning with the category for children born in 2011 and ending with those born in 2007.

Registration costs 3 euros and can be completed using a link provided by the organisers. The registration process ends on 11 September or when the limit of 1,500 participants is reached. All the money raised by registrations will be donated to the Associació In Via, an organisation working for social inclusion in Barcelona.
