La Mercè Fun Run Bimbo Global Race 2025 unveils a new route
La Mercè Fun Run Bimbo Global Race 2025 arrives with a major new feature: on Sunday, 21 September, the run will debut a new, more central and circular circuit that offers sea views, connecting it even more closely with the city and its iconic landmarks.
After more than two decades on the same route, the new circuit offers a unique visual and urban experience for both participants and spectators, right in the midst of La Mercè festivities. The starting point will be at Carrer Aragó with Pau Claris, and the finish line at Plaça de Catalunya, transforming the heart of Barcelona into the setting for this major sporting event.
Highlights along the route include Passeig de Sant Joan, the Arc de Triomf, Passeig Lluís Companys, Parc de la Ciutadella, and the seafront, with Passeig d’Isabel II and Passeig de Colom. The second part of the circuit continues along Paral·lel, Carrer Entença, Floridablanca and Ronda Sant Antoni, ending at the finish line in the city’s nerve centre.
This new layout will bring more entertainment, improved accessibility, and a greater sense of city atmosphere. It will also make it easier for families and spectators to follow the run from various points just a few minutes apart and well connected by public transport.
A route designed not only for running, but also for experiencing and enjoying Barcelona.
