From November 15 to 17, the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía venue will host a new edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the main international event on cities and smart urban solutions. A meeting that will bring together representatives of the entire urban innovation ecosystem with the aim of drawing up a plan that will allow a more sustainable and habitable urbanized planet to be achieved. The motto of this edition is Cities Inspired by People and it will bring together more than 800 exhibitors, 700 cities and regions and 400 speakers who will weave complicity to drive together the transformation of metropolises around the world and share knowledge and experiences . Thus, the event will bring together the main experts and international companies to address the challenges of urban transformation based on eight thematic axes: Enabling Technologies, Energy and Environment, Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress, Governance, Life and Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructures and Buildings, and Security and Protection.

On behalf of the Municipal Archive of Barcelona, ​​the person in charge of archiving and document management, Gorka Cofiño, will give a presentation on Wednesday, November 16 at 3:30 p.m., on the Electronic Archive of Barcelona City Council. The electronic file is the instrument that facilitates the automation of administrative procedures, unifies criteria and standardizes the management of electronic documents and files. It allows the use and reuse of documents and files of a massive and transversal nature throughout the organization, improving the internal administrative management of Barcelona City Council and facilitating procedures and access to information of interest to citizens.

The electronic archive is based on the Electronic Document and File Management Model (MGDE), which follows the principles and applies the instruments of the Barcelona City Council’s document management policy. This model establishes the implementation of a documentary analysis process of the procedure prior to the incorporation of documents and files in the electronic archive.
